Young Brazilians and their money

Our research among young Brazilians shows that cash, while still important, has been supplanted by card payments in almost all areas. A growing proportion of young people are embracing mobile payments, indicating a significant appetite for new products and services in this area.

Young Brazilians show a high-degree of trust in banks as providers of new services, but the limitations of Brazil’s payments infrastructure – a lack of appropriate terminals – seems to be the greatest single obstacle to such an advance.
